Cody Langston

Vice President of Programs

Cody Langston was born in Fort Hood Texas into a military family. He moved around a lot between Texas, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee, so he naturally developed a passion for people. This passion led him to volunteering with the YMCA throughout high school, serving as a mentor to various youth in Copperas Cove Texas. After graduating from Copperas Cove High School, Cody decided to attend THE Fort Valley State University, making him the 4th generation to attend and later graduate from the University.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture with a concentration in plant science, Cody Langston has been a Soil Scientist with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA-NRCS) since 2009. Cody married his college sweetheart, Jasmine Langston in 2010, and they moved to Houston in 2011.

While volunteering at the YMCA, Cody decided to pursue an MBA with a concentration in Quality Management from the University of Texas at Tyler. During this endeavor, Cody and his wife Jasmine had a son by the name of Cody Langston Jr.

Along with Cody’s commitment to Emerging 100 of Houston, he also volunteers at The Waters Church in Katy Texas, where he serves as both a Captain of the Security Emergency Response Team, and a mentor to the youth of the H2O ministry. When Cody isn’t out serving his community, he enjoys watching movies at home with his beautiful wife, and his “little man.”
